It’s all change for Kent Life’s Hops n’ Harvest Beer Festival this September.
The event, which has been running for more than 30 years, is bigger and better than ever and even has a new name. The Hops and Harvest Boutique Festival will be staged over the weekend of Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 September.
An extended live music programme sees Starsailor headlining on Saturday, and Newton Faulkner and Toploader on Sunday. Other acts on the main stage include Bang Bang Romeo, The Wholls and Vambo. A series of local up-and-coming musicians will wow crowds inside the Big Top, while the Secret Garden Stage hosts acoustic sets all day.
The festival began as a celebration of the humble hop – something that will be honoured over that weekend. Festival goers can have a go at picking the hops by hand, fill the bushels, and enjoy the pleasant aroma as the Oast House is brought back into working life for one weekend only.
For those who want to just enjoy a pint or two, the well-stocked Kentish Ales Marquee is the place to head. The Hipshaker Lounge with pitchers and themed cocktails or the Zebra Bar & Champagne Garden are must dos on the day too.
Tickets for this fabulous weekend are available at www.kentlife.org.uk.
